Funeral Services were held December 24, 1980 for Benjamin Alton Reed, who died in Dublin, Texas on December 22, 1980.

Rev. Bill Campbell officiated the services, which were conducted at Harrell Memorial Chapel.

Interment was at the Old Dublin Memorial Park under the direction of Harrell Funeral Home.

Reed was born May 31, 1907 in Hazeldale Comm., Tex. and was married to Chelsea D. Black on April 7, 1934 in Dublin, Texas.

He was member of the First Baptist Church.

Reed was retired from the Abilene Reporter News as salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Chelsea; two sons, Lannon of Dallas and Dick of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Jim of Gustine and Gaston of Fort Worth; two sisters, Pauline Ross of Ranger and Hazel Reed of Fort Worth; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
