Funeral services for Mrs. Tom (Christine) Hailey were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22,1979 from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Ballard officiating. Burial followed in Spring Hill Cemetery in Kemper County.

Mrs. Hailey passed away Saturday, October 20, 1979, at Noxubee General Hospital following an apparent heart attack. She was 75.

A native of Kemper County, she was born there December 9, 1903, but made her home in Stone Mountain, Georgia for the past nineteen years. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, Decatur, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Hailey, Stone Mountain; two sons John Hailey of High Point, North Carolina, and Tom Hailey of Stone Mountain; one sister, Mrs. Ercell Hailey of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Phil West of Akron, Ohio and Forrest West of DeKalb, Mississippi; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were H. L. Ledbetter, O. B. Persons, Hubert Hunter, Larry Watkins, Porter Swann and Lloyd Ridings.
