Funeral Services for Thomas D. Hailey, Sr. of Stone Mountain, Georgia were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 1981 from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Ballard and Rev. Amos Price officiating. Interment followed in Spring Hill Cemetery in Kemper County.

Mr. Hailey passed away Sunday, August 2, 1981 in DeKalb County Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. He was 81.

The Noxubee County native was born near Gholson at the turn of the century, but had made his home in Decatur and Stone Mountain, Georgia since his retirement from Goodrich Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio in 1962. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church, Stone Mountain.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Hailey, Jr. of Stone Mountain, and John P. Hailey of High Point, North Carolina; one sister, Mrs. Earnest Deavenport of Macon, Mississippi; one brother, Joe Dick Hailey of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers were O. B. Persons, James Baker, Laverne Madison, H. L. Ledbetter, Bill Thomas and Larry Watkins.
