SERVICES HELD FOR
P.R. (DICK) REED

Funeral services for P.R. (Dick) Reed, 70, were held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the family home in South Dublin. The Rev. R.L. Dodson officiated, assisted by Mrs. Jolly. Burial was at the Old Dublin Cemetery. Pall bearers were Tom Morrison, F.L. Jackson, Jesse Cole, H.R. Warner, Elmer Cox and W.B. Halliday.

Reed died at 8:30 o'clock Friday evening after an illness of one month. He was born in McCulloch County in 1866 and on August 28, 1889 was married to Miss Martha Worrell who survives him. A daughter, Mrs. Lola Hailey, is the only other immediate survivor. Two sons Roy and Charles, World War veterans, died in 1919 and 1933. Other living relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Lula Sims, Fort Stockton: Mrs. Addie Carnes, Snyder; a brother R.N. Reed, Newsom: four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Reed family moved to Comanche county in 1900 and a year later came to Dublin. They have lived here approximately 35 years. For several years Mr. Reed was connected with different business concerns here. For a while he was in charge of the fire station. During his later years, he served as nightwatchman for the city.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.
