State of North Carolina. Anson County -- Pursuant to an order of Court to us directed commanding us to divide and partition a certain tract of Land formerly the Dower of a Abrilla Hailey Decd. Widow of John Hailey Decd. amongst the heirs of sd John decd. and to report to April Court 1843. In pursuance of said order we the undersigned Committee after being duly sworn according to Law have laid off and divided said Lands in the following manner (to wit) Lot No. 1. Beginning at a stake in the old River Road and in Adcocks line the 1st corner of sd. Dower a sweet gum ptr. and runs with Haileys line So. 32 Est. 7 chains 60 links to a stake in the field Haileys corner then So. 65 Wst. 14 chns. to the back line then with said line No. 39 Wst. 7 chns. 60 links to the old corner then with Adcocks line No. 64 1/2 Est. 14 chns. 75 lks. to the beginning containing 10.6 acres of land off to Jonathan Hailey. Lot No. 2. Beginning at a stake the 2nd corner of Number 1 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. & ?7 links to a stake then So. 65 Wst. 12 chns. 70 links to a state near the Est. Edge of the road to Walls ferry in the back line then with sd. line No. 29 Wst. 6 chns. & 50 lks. to the 3d corner of No. 1 then with said line No. 65 Est. to the Begin'g containing 8.4. Laid off to Wm. G. Wilson in right of Lorenzo Hailey. Valued at one hundred and thirty three dollars and 70 cts. which said lot or Wm. G. Wilson pays to John Hailey the sum of thirty one dollars and 2 cts. & also pays to Charles Haily the sum of $46 and 86 cts. as difference in valuation. Lot No. 3. Beginning at a stake the 2nd corner of Lot No. 2 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. 37 lks. to a stake then So. 65 Wst. 13 chns. 25 lks. to a stake in the river Road 1 small mulberry pt. then with the old line No. 2 Wst. 2 chns. 40 lks. to the old corner then No. 39 Wst. 4 chns. to the 3d corner of No. 2 then with said line No. 65 Est. to the beginning laid off to Jonathan Haily in right of Isham Haily. Valued at $48. Lot No. 4. Beginning at a stake the 3d corner of No. 3 and runs No. 32 Est. 6 chns. and 37 lks. to a stake then South 65 Wst. 16 chns. 12 lks. to a stake in the River road 2 pines and sweet gum pts. then with said road No. 2 wst. 2 chns. & 60 lks. then No. 2 Wst. 4 chns. 20 lks. to the 3d corner of No. 3 then with said line No. 65 Est. 6 the beginning containing 93 acres. Laid off to Rebecca Clark. Valued at one hundred and thirty one dollars which said Lot or Rebecca Clark pays to Charles Haily $1 96/100 and to Johathan Haily the sum of $21 11/100 and also to Ruffin Permenters heirs the sum of Fifty two dollars and 11 cts. which sd. lot pays as difference in vauation. Lot No. 5. Beginning at a stake the 2nd corner of Lot No. 4 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. 30 lks. crossing the Rooty Branch to a stake then So. 65 Wst. 9 chns. and 60 lks. to a stake in Permenters line then with sd line No. 30 Wst. 1 chain 64 links to a spanish oak Permenters corner on the bank of the Rooty branch then up the various courses of said Branch to the old corner in the old River Road then with said road No. 9 Wst. 9 chns. 80 lks. to the 3d corner of Lot No. 4 then with sd. line No. 65 Est. to the beginning containing 13 1/5 acres laid off to Johathan Haily in right of Elizabeth Adcock. Valued at $132 20/100. Lot No. 6. Beginning at a stake the 2nd corner of Lot No. 5 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. 30 lks. to a stake a parcel of small mulberry pts then So. 65 Wst. 9 chns. 75 lks. to Permenters line 1 pine & 2 persimmons pts. then with sd. line No. 30 Wst. 6 chns. 30 lks. to the 3d corner of Lot No. 5 then with said line No. 65 Est. to the beginning 6 1/5 acres laid off to John Haily. Valued $24. 80/100. Lot No. 7. Beginning at a stake by a parcel of small mulberrys the 2nd corner of No. 6 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. 30 lks. to a stake then So. 65 Wst. 10 chns. 25 lks. to Permenters line then with sd line No. 25 Wst. 4 chns. then No. 30 Wst. 2 chns. 20 links to the 3d corner Lot No. 6 then with said line No. 65 Est. to the beginning containing 6 1/4 acres. Laid off to Jonathan Haily in right of Iasiah Haily. Valued at Eleven dollars 27 cts. Lot No. [8]. Begin at a stake the 2nd corner of Lot No. 7 and runs So. 32 Est. 6 chns. & 30 lks. to a stake then 65 Wst. 10 chns. 60 links to Permenters line 2 small pines pt. then with Permenters line Wst. 6 chns. 35 lks. to the 3d corner of Lot No. 7 then No. 65(?) Est. to the beginning containing 7 acres valued at $7. and laid off to Charles Haily. Lot No. 9. Beginning at a stake the 2nd corner of Lot No. 8 and runs No. 32 Est. 6 chns. 28 links to a black Jack the old corner then with Permenters old line So. 65 Wst. 12 chns. 50 lks. to Permenters other corner a stake then with his other line No. 25 Wst. 6 chns. 30 lks. to the 3d corner of Lot No. 8 then No. 45 Est. with said line to the beginning containing 7.4 acres. Laid off to the heirs of Ruffin Permenter. Valued at $3.71.
