LAST WILL and TESTAMENT
of
RANDAL HALEY
October 24, 1803

In the name of God Amen. I Randol Haley of the County of Richmond and State of North Carolina being through the [abund?] and mercy and goodnefs of God in sound and perfect mind & memory do constitute this my last will and testament and I desire it my be received as such.

First I most humbly bequeath my soul to God my maker beseeching his most gracious acceptance of it through the all sufficient merits and meditation of our most compassionate redeemer Jesus Christ. I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its resurrection at the last day. As for my burial I desire it may be done decently without pomp or state at the direction of my executors hereafter named who I doubt not will manage it with all requiste. As to my worldy estate I wish divided as follows -

Item I give & bequeath to George Hailey son of my brother Silas Haley all my real estate which is one hundred & forty five acres land I bought of William Moorman. Also five hundred dollars in money which is due me from Jefse & Reuben Cole payable in December 1804. It is also my exprefs will & desire that the profits of the land together with the interest of said money be applied to the schooling of said George Hailey until he arrives to the age of twenty one years then for him to enjoy the whole. I also give said George Hailey one horse colt one bed and furniture one watch to him his heirs forever.

Itwm I give & bequeath my brother Silas Haley one bay mare also all my stock of cattle and hogs also one note on Herman Holloman for ninty five dollars to him & his heirs forever.

Item I give & bequeath to Aggy Haley daughter of Silas Haley one feather bed one tea kettle to ther and her heirs forever.

I further direct my Executors to pay all my just debts out of four & hundred eighty dollars thats due me from Jefse & reuben Cole payable this ensuing Christmas.

Lastly, I cxonstitute and appoint John Snead & Silas Haley and his son George Haley Executors to this my last will and testament.
