Frances married a first cousin, Benjamin Franklin Worrell, son of Kinchen Thomas Worrell and Eliza Elizabeth Chancellor. (Benjamin Franklin Worrell was born in 1850 in Texas and died in 1928.) Children: Arthur Crews (1872 - 1965), William E. (1874 - ?), Lilly Beatrice (1876 - 9/8/1900), James Kinchen "Jim" (1879 - 1932), Hugh August (1880 - ?), Wilbur Fisk (1881 - ?), Bernice (twin) (1884 - ?), Bertha (Twin) (1884 - ?), Irene (1889 - ?) and Ruth Jane (1892 - ?). Arthur Crews Worrell married Stella Miller (1878 - 1948). |

Children: Emma (1875 - ?), Olga (1877 - ?), Ora (1880 - ?), Ima (1882 - ?), Newton "Cuter" (1884 - 1959), Olin (1886 - ?) and Jennie A. (1888 - ?). Newton "Cuter" was quite a character according to an article published in "TRUE WEST" magazine.
Thomas died in Camp San Saba, Tx. and was buried in the cemetery there.(33)

( There is a family legend that John, Jr. left home at the age of 12 because of problems with a step-mother and came to Camp San Saba, McCulloch Co., TX in 1871. As far as I know there is no evidence that he ever had a step-mother.) John, Jr. moved, with his family, to Camp San Saba, McColloch Co., Tx. about 1871.

Rev. John Durant Worrell, Jr. joined the West Texas Conference in 1893, and served the San Saba Circuit in 1893; Round Mountain, 1891; Pontotoe, 1895; Bandera-Medina City, 1896-97; Cherokee, 1898-1900; Leesville, 1901-02; Luling, 1903-04; Utopia, 1905; Webberville, 1906; Weimar, 1907-09; Sonora, 1910-13; Seadrift, 1914-15; Martindale, 1916-17; Center Point, 1918; Caliham-Odem, 1919; Marble Falls, 1920; superannuated 1921-22; Lavernia, 1923-24; Smiley-Westhoff, 1925; Eagle Lake, 1927; Markham, 1928.
In 1929 he was superannuated. (Superannuated means incapacitated or disqualified for active duty by advanced age and failing health).
"After being superannuated, he returned to the ministry for five years and first made his home in Kingsville, later Luling and four years ago came to Eagle Lake."(8)

Laura was married H.W. Taylor, who preceeded her in death by several years. I don't have any information on their offspring.
According to her obituary she was survived only by three grandchildren; Mrs. W. L. Hanshaw, Mrs. Edna Jones and Mr. Harris Ross, all of California.
